Courses to get you started with SuperSTAR

SuperCROSS Foundation — This course provides the fundamental knowledge and skills required by individuals that are responsible for the analysis of an organization’s data using SuperCROSS. Participants will learn how to access their organization’s data, and then create powerful, accurate, and efficient queries using the SuperCROSS graphical interface.

SuperCHANNEL Foundation — This course provides the foundation knowledge and skills required by individuals who are responsible for building SuperSTAR databases using SuperCHANNEL. Participants will learn about the SuperSTAR database structure and how to apply this knowledge when building a high-performing and easy-to-use database.

SuperWEB — This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to use SuperWEB. Participants will learn how to access their organization’s data and create queries via the SuperWEB graphical user interface.

Courses for those who have some SuperSTAR experience and who need deeper insights

SuperCROSS Advanced — The SuperCROSS Advanced course is designed to build on participants existing knowledge of SuperCROSS. Participants will be exposed to the breadth of functionality available in SuperCROSS. Participants will gain experience essential for the complex analysis of their organization’s data.

SuperCHANNEL Advanced  — The SuperCHANNEL Advanced Course is designed to build on participants existing knowledge of SuperCHANNEL. Participants will be exposed to the full capacity of SuperCHANNEL and gain the experience essential for the creation of more flexible and efficient SuperSTAR databases.

Courses and workshops for administrators and developers

SuperSERVER Foundation — The SuperSERVER Foundation course provides the essential knowledge and skills for those individuals that are responsible for setting up and maintaining a SuperSTAR environment. The course contains a number of mandatory and optional topics (depending on the SuperSTAR products being used) and therefore can be tailored to participants’ needs.

SuperSTAR Data Control API Workshop — This course provides an introduction to the SuperSTAR Data Control API and demonstrates the ways this API can be used to maintain confidentiality and protect privacy. Participants will learn how to work with the common functions of the SuperSTAR Data Access API as follows:

  • Confidentialization of data
  • Monitoring the use of SuperSTAR through auditing
  • Creating annotations
